Quantum computer to simulate particle collisions

Colisión de partículas

New publication in Nature Communications of the QUTIS group of the UPV / EHU led by the Ikerbasque Researcher, Enrique Solano, in which they simulate the collision of large accelerator particles with a quantum computer.

In 2011, the QUTIS Group of the UPV / EHU published in Physical Review Letters a novel theoretical proposal to reproduce particle collisions like those of large accelerators without using these huge infrastructures. Now, with the collaboration of the laboratory of Professor Kihwan Kim of Tsinghua University, in Beijing (China), they have confirmed the validity of the proposal in a quantum simulator of caugh ions.
