  • British Computer Society/Cambridge University Press. Best paper in Speech Communication 2001. Best paper in Speech Communication 2005. European Association for Signal Processing Best Paper Award 2009.
  • 26 years of research experience in Great Britain in the National Physical Laboratory and the University of Sheffield.
  • Research line: Pioneer of computational auditory scene analysis, missing data theory for robust speech processing, and the glimpsing model of speech processing in noise; working on speech perception models, speech production in noise, and second language listening.
  • Comes from the post of Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield.
