Bioef, the Basque Foundation for Health Innovation and Research, is promoted by the Basque Government Department of Health as an instrument to enable the health authorities of the Basque Autonomous Community to promote innovation and research in the Basque health system as a way of fostering the development and continuous improvement of the capability of the health service to protect the health of our people.
The Foundation also seeks to provide a framework for communication and co-operation between the various sectors involved in health research, development and innovation at autonomous community, national and international levels.
