Ikerbasque, the Basque Foundation for Science, launched a call in 2024 offering 20 positionsfor postdoctoral researchers. These positions were co-financed by the Basque Government, the European Commission (GA 101034228 – WOLFRAM2) and the host institution where the candidates are going to carry out their research.
These five-year contracts are aimed at promising young scientists and offer the possibility of evolving into the position of principal investigator and independent research. Selected Fellows should be able to acquire the necessary competencies to become scientific leaders. Ikerbasque is committed to offer a long-term research career to the scientific community: Fellows can be evaluated during their 5th year to obtain a permanent position.
Applicants must have completed their doctorate between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2021.
Applications from women are especially welcome. The eligibility period may be extended in special circumstances such as maternity.
