Research line: 
Although trained in Physics and Computer Science, Dr. Cortes moved to Neuroscience to apply Quantitative and Computational Methods to neuronal data. In particular, Dr. Cortes is currently focused on the applications of Statistical Methods and Information Theory to the field of Brain Connectivity. From a methodological point of view, he is also interested in applying machine learning strategies to different biomedical data sets.
