Ikerbasque and University of Deusto are seeking an experienced researcher to lead a research group devoted to Quantum Computing and Quantum Artificial Intelligence (QAI).
We seek a candidate with a robust background in Quantum Computing and Quantum Artificial Intelligence, eager to lead and participate in cutting-edge research and development projects in these fields. The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
Job functions:
- Engage actively in R&D projects in Quantum Computing and QAI, collaborating closely with existing DeustoTech research teams and contributing to multidisciplinary efforts across various domains such as Health, Cybersecurity, and Industry.
- Work in cooperation with the Community of Quantum Technologies of the Basque Country, encompassing a wide range of stakeholders including entities, administrations, technological centers, and companies.
- Drive the conception and design of new project proposals, their execution and technical management.
- Play a key role in the training of young talent and promoting quantum literacy in the Basque Country, through collaboration with the Deusto Faculty of Engineering and its academic initiatives.
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and innovation in Quantum Computing and technologies to the industrial and productive sectors.
- Disseminate research findings through high quality scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
- Support the strategic long-term research in agreement with the Scientific Director.
- Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
