Research line: 
Although trained in Physics and Computer Science, Dr. Cortes moved to Neuroscience to apply Quantitative and Computational Methods to neuronal data. In particular, Dr. Cortes is currently focused on the applications of Statistical Methods and Information Theory to the field of Brain Connectivity. He is also responsible of a Research Unit in Quantitative Biomedicine.
Postdoctoral positions in The Netherlands, USA and UK. Ramon y Cajal Fellow.
Head of the Computational Neuroimaging Lab at BioCruces Health Research Institute.
PhD in Physics.
