Creating new porous materials using novel crystalline structures

Luis Liz-Marzan, Ikerbasque Researcher and Scientific Director of CIC biomaGUNE, has participated in a research that has designed a method that allows the production of porous -technically macroporous or mesoporous- materials  with crystalline structures that had not been seen before. The results have been published in Science.

Researchers from several institutions -CIBER-BBN, CIC biomaGUNE, Weizmamm Institute of Science (Israel), University of Amberes (Belgium), Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy With Electrons (Germany), University of Texas (USA) and University of Ilinois (USA) have been working together on this project for more than two years.
